London bar serving 7p Martinis in honour of Bond
In honour of the new James Bond film Spectre, which hits cinemas today, a London bar will be serving £0.07 Martinis for three nights this week.
As reported by the Evening Standard, the 7p Martinis will be shaken (not stirred) at 68 & Boston on Greek Street in Soho at its first floor cocktail bar.
Run by Eric Yu of The Breakfast Group and clandestine cocktail den Opium in Soho, Planet of the Grapes owner Martin Malley and Luca Cordiglieri, former bar manager at China Tang at The Dorchester and president of the UK Bartenders’ Guild, despite the tiny price tag the Martinis should be top notch.
Mirroring Bond’s secret agent number, the £0.07p Martinis will be made with Belvedere vodka, which has released limited edition Bond bottles in honour of Spectre, dry vermouth and a twist of lemon.
The super cheap Martinis will be on pour from 5pm tonight until 7pm on Thursday 29 October and are limited to one per customer.
If you’re still thirsty, you can head to the wine bar downstairs, where all bottles are priced at just £20. Among the drops on offer are a Sauvignon Blanc from Uruguay, a Garnacha Blanca from Somontano, a Carignan from Argentina and a Chilean Pinot.
