Fine Wine 1000 edges up in September
The Fine Wine 1000 index on Liv-ex edged upwards in September thanks to gains from Champagne and Burgundy.
While the Liv-ex Fine Wine 100 stayed flat last month, the noticeable rises from Champagne as well as those from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Italy and the Rest of the World, made the Fine Wine 1000 move up 0.6%.
The Burgundy 150 was the strongest sub-index, rising 1.4%, closely followed by the Champagne 50 which went up 1.2%.
The Bordeaux 500 likewise edged up 0.4%, the Italy 100 and Bordeaux Legends 50 0.3% and the Rest of the World 50 0.06%.
The only sub-index to decline in September was the Rhône 100 which went down 0.2% and it is the only sub-index in negative territory over one year (down 3.7% on the year to date and -5.5% over one year).
