The Icelandic singer created the limited edition bottle and coffret with her longtime collaborator, the video artist Chris Cunningham.

Bjork and Cunningham, who have named their Dom Pérignon creation ‘From Earth to Heart’, have worked together on several projects over the years, most famously the video for Bjork’s All Is Full of Love single.

“Continuing the tradition of creative collaboration, for which the Champagne house is now known, Dom Pérignon has once again teamed up with a leading artist – or in this cases artists – who have lent their interpretation to the release of this first Plénitude wine,” Dom Pérignon said.

Björk and Cunningham “experienced both light and warmth in the new Vintage Dom Pérignon,” a statement said.

Their design on the ‘From Earth to Heart’ limited edition 2006 Blanc coffret shows a laser-like ray of green light that appears to shine down on the bottle and pierce the glass.

The shield on the bottle then reflects this light as it infuses into the wine.

Speaking of the flavour profile of the 2006 vintage, Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy, described a “generous aromatic ripeness”, adding: “It’s juicy and opulent, and sings of the uncharacteristically hot and sunny July and September months that year.”

The limited edition ‘From Earth to Heart’ bottle and coffret will have an RRP of £135 for the Blanc 2006 and £330 for the Rosé 2004.

The Champagne will be available exclusively from Harrods from October 2015 before being made available in wine specialists and other department stores.

Dom Pérignon has a long history of collaborations with designers and artists, including Jeff Koons, David Lynch, Karl Lagerfeld and Iris Van Herpen, as well as creative projects with director Robert Wilson and concert pianist Lang Lang.

The drinks business reported earlier this week that Dom Pérignon had released its 2006 vintage, which marked the first time in the grand cuvée’s nearly 90-year history that five consecutive vintages had been made.
