Thieves steal 7,000 bottles of vodka
Nearly 7,000 bottles of vodka have been stolen from a lorry in Essex, after thieves sliced through the HGV’s curtain as it sat in a lay-by.
Some 6,750 bottles of Tamova vodka were stolen from the lorry some time between 4am and 6.30am on Friday, 4 September, while it was parked on the A12 close to Margaretting in Essex.
Police investigating said the substantial quantity of vodka stolen would have taken a “significant amount of time” to remove from the lorry.
The bottles stolen were all 70cl bottles of Aldi’s branded Tamova vodka.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or has been offered any boxes or 70cl bottles of the vodka should call Essex Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
