Sarment expands with KL opening
Sarment celebrated the opening of its new Malaysia office in the lavish surroundings of the French Embassy in the country’s capital.
French Ambassador, Christophe Penot welcomed the gathered guests and spoke about Malaysia and its affinity for French wines.
Toasting with a glass of Champagne Henri Giraud, guests were treated to a selection of Sarment wines such as Chene Bleu, Seguinot Bordet Chablis and Francois Villard St. Joseph. Two live cooking stations were also on display where traditional crepes and ravioli were cooked in front of gourmand onlookers by chef Nathalie Arbefeuille.
“Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as a whole is an extremely important up and coming sector within the Asian wine market with the country’s love for wine reflected in the faith companies such as Sarment have placed in it by opening its newest office here” said Penot.
In an ambitious strategy to tap into Asia’s fine wine market, Sarment also has offices in Hong Kong, China and Singapore with further openings planned for Myanmar and Thailand next year.
