Champagne AR Lenoble launches honey brand
Champagne house AR Lenoble in the Côte des Blancs has launched its own vintage honey made by 70,000 busy bees on its estate.
AR Lenoble Le Vallon Honey 2015 is exclusively available at Stannary Street Wine Company in London priced at £12.50 for a 250cl pot.
The house is committed to sustainable agriculture in its vineyards and encourages biodiversity at its 10-hectare estate in Chouilly.
Beehives were installed at the estate last year and this year the house made the decision to commercialise a limited amount of the resulting honey.
“This year’s honey was harvested from the lieu-dit of Le Vallon in Chouilly,” said owner Anne Malassagne.
“It is the fruit of the labours of the 70,000 bees who spent the summer there foraging among the flowers. Sweet and floral, it is meant to be enjoyed without any respect for moderation,” she added.
