Liv-ex 1000 sees July decline
The Liv-ex 1000 saw a 0.9% dip in July with all the major indices seeing out the month in negative territory.
Mirroring the Fine Wine 100 which slumped 1.2% in July, the much broader index stumbled slightly in what is traditionally a quiet time for the market anyway.
The Bordeaux 500, Burgundy 150 and Rest of the World (RoW) 50 all declined over 1%, while the Bordeaux Legends 50, Champagne 50 and Italy 100 declined rather more modestly (0.5%, 0.6% and 0.7% respectively); only the Rhône 100 stayed steady – up 0.12%.
The RoW 50 fell the furthest, 1.77%, and is slightly down on the year to date, 0.69%. However, overall it’s up 0.1%.
The index as a whole is up 0.85% on the YTD and 1.24% up over the course of a year.
