LCB given approval for new warehouse
British drinks storage and distribution firm LCB has been given approval from HM Revenue and Customs for its new bonded warehouse in Cambridge.

With the plans for the new warehouse first being announced by the drinks business in May, the 40,000sq ft facility has been opened to free-up the company’s London facilities the previously supplied East Anglia, and will add ten extra delivery vehicles to its fleet.
In an announcement to db, the company said, “We have just received both Excise and Customs approval from HM Revenue & Customs to operate this site as a bonded facility as well as a distribution hub to support our UK delivery service into East Anglia.”
It is LCB’s seventh approved site in addition to Tilbury, Burton upon Trent, Hillington and Dinton and two in Barking.
The company makes up to 20,000 deliveries a week to clients ranging from individuals to large retailers of fine wine and spirits.
