Crystal Head launches ‘Aurora’

Crystal Head vodka is to launch its new aurora borealis-inspired expression in the UK this October.

Called “Aurora”, the new limited edition vodka was launched in Australia at the beginning of the month and will land in the UK this autumn – just in time for a – creepy – Christmas.

Made using wheat from North Yorkshire and water from St John’s in Newfoundland – where the distillery is based – and distilled five times with seven filtrations (three of them through Herkimer diamonds), the new spirit is aid to be a “drier, bolder, and spicier,” vodka than the original.

In addition, the brand’s skull bottles for Aurora will each be decorated with a finish that resembles the natural phenomenon and no two bottles will be exactly the same.

With an “extremely limited” production run, Aurora is only being sold in select countries and will retail in the UK for £79.99.
