Meantime offers trip to US hop capital
London’s Meantime Brewing has announced a new promotion that will offer three customers the chance to travel to the Yakima Valley in Washington State.
Running throughout August, the promotion will run on 300,000 bottles of the brewery’s London Lager and London Pale Ale, with instructions on how to enter for the prize draw on the website.
The three winners will travel with founder and master brewer, Alastair Hook (pictured), to the US in September and as well as visiting the valley which is considered the world’s prime hop-growing region they will get to visit some of Seattle’s leading craft breweries and bars.
Rich Myers, marketing director at Meantime Brewing said: “The Yakima Valley is one of the most celebrated hop growing regions in the world, inspiring the name of our own Yakima Red ale which contains five varieties of hops from the area.
“Since Meantime was set up back in 2000, we’ve always been committed to brewing with only the finest quality ingredients. Our founder and brew master Alastair travels the globe to source the finest hops, and we are delighted to offer four of our fans the chance to come along for the ride.
“This is an incredible opportunity for craft beer aficionados to spend time with one of the true pioneers of the craft beer movement in the UK – all whilst sampling some of the finest hops in the world that will eventually go into making our award-winning beers.”
Other, smaller, prizes include brewery tours, a selection of Meantime beers and dinner at the new restaurant and bar at the brewery in Greenwich.
