Denbies in Dorking
As reported by The Surrey Advertiser, police were called to the winery at 1am on Thursday after a group of men were spotted loading boxes of wine into a van.
A dog unit had to be called in after three large men jumped out of the van and ran off when it was stopped by the police while attempting to leave the estate.
According to the Surrey Advertiser, Police found around 100 cases of wine inside the van.
“The response from the police was incredible. We had CID, a helicopter, a dog unit and even British Transport Police on the scene because the men went onto the railway track,” said Denbies general manager Christopher White.
Three men from Surrey aged between 29 and 31 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 37-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident.
