Accolade lists top three UK on-trade wines

Wine brands Stowells, Jack Rabbit and Hardys are the current top three most popular wines in the UK on-trade, according to the latest report by CGA Strategy.

Figures released by CGA on wine brand performance to the end of June reveal the trio to be the most popular in the UK off-trade. All three of the wines are distributed by Accolade Wines.

Stowells, one of the UK on-trade’s longest standing wine brands, took the number one position in the on-trade with Jack Rabbit and Hardys taking the second and third spots.

Jack Rabbit, an on-trade exclusive brand launched in 2004, has become one of the fastest growing wine brands in the on-trade, growing in volume by 36.8% year on year.

Hardys meanwhile currently claims a 5.7% share of the UK wine market, 30% larger than its closest competitor, with Nielsen data to the end of April 2015 showing that the brand’s value sales have risen by 10.5% in the last year.

Commenting on the results Amy White, marketing director for Accolade Wines UK and Ireland, said: “This channel is of significant importance to us and to see all our hard work paying off like this is very rewarding for all concerned. This goes to prove that there is a place for strong brands in the on-trade and that consumers do remain loyal to names like Hardys, Jack Rabbit and Stowells because they know they are going to get consistency and quality, wherever and whenever they choose to enjoy them.”

After drinking Jack Rabbit Merlot in 187ml bottles for some time in our local club we have been looking for it in various Off Licences without success.
Can you please let us know where this can be purchased.

    Best Regards
