Rapper E-40 bets wine on NBA finals

Rapper-turned-winemaker E-40 has promised to supply the entire Golden State Warriors team with unlimited wine if they win the upcoming NBA finals.

Otherwise known as Earl Stevens, the winemaker has stated that he will give the team unlimited bottles of his Mangoscato if they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals on 4 June.

Launched in 2013, Earl Stevens Selections’ Mangoscato is a mango-flavored fortified wine, inspired by Moscato, with an abv of 18%.

“If they win the NBA Finals, the whole team will get as many bottles of my Mangoscato wine from Earl Stevens Selections as they want until next season begins,” he told TMZ.

The West Coast rapper’s three strong range of wines from California’s Central Valley have proven successful in the states.

Ranging from US$9.99 to $15.99, the trio Earl Stevens Selections is comprised of Function, a blend of Lodi Zinfandel and Cabernet, a Moscato and the fruity 18% abv fortified wine Mangoscato, which is the best seller of the three.

The range was created by UC Davis graduate Steve Burch and made at DFV Wines in Manteca from grapes are sourced from California’s Central Valley.
