The Macallan to host classical concerts
Scotch producer The Macallan is to host a series of classical concerts in Hong Kong next month with its “Bravo!” series that celebrates the world of whisky and music.
Taking place from 22-30 May at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, among the concerts in the series are Haydn The Creation conducted by Brett Weymark and the musical Broadway Français! conducted by Randall Craig Fleischer.
Weymark is one of the foremost choral conductors in Australia and director of Sydney Philharmonic Choirs.
Before each of the concerts, performed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus and singers including Sara Macliver and Toby Spence, will be a cocktail reception hosted by The Macallan.
“The Macallan’s philosophy of appreciation for the finer things in life stretches far beyond whisky, and the Bravo! Series is dedicated to bringing together some of the world’s finest music maestros,” said a spokesperson for the brand.
“This creative collaboration between The Macallan, Weymark and Fleischer affirms the status of the brand in bringing aficionados not only the most precious and sought-after single malts, but also the colour of music,” they added.
