Thieves have escaped with 375 cases of wine worth more than £10,000 after a second raid at a warehouse in West Sussex this week.

Workers arrived at the DF Warehouse in Brighton Road, Pease Pottage, on Monday, 2 March, to find that 350 cases of Bottega Gold sparkling wine and 20 to 25 cases of Bottega Rosé had been stolen. The wine is estimated to be worth more than £10,000.
It follows a raid on Bolney Wine Estate, also in West Sussex, last week, when around 5,000 bottles were stolen overnight by intruders between the hours of 6pm on Thursday, 26 February, and 8.45am on 27 February.
Among the bottles stolen were 540 bottles of the estate’s Blanc de Blanc 2009, as well as bottles of its Cuvée Rosé, Bolney Bubbly, Sirrius Rosé, Lychgate White and Linter’s Red, which combined were estimated to be worth more than £80,000.
Police believe the two thefts could be linked and are appealing for anyone with information, or who has been offered any of the wines stolen for sale to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk, call 101, or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
