Four more acts sign up for Skin Côntact
Skin Côntact LIVE, the UK wine trade’s only charity covers band, has announced a further four guest singers for its one-off gig next month.
Skin Côntact founders Anne McHale MW, Matt James, Richard Hemming, Helen Chesshire, Ben Smith and Alex Hunt MW
Joining already confirmed appearances from Tim Atkin MW, Joe Wadsack and Charles Metcalfe, as well as a DJ set by Neal Martin, will be Anne Jones, David Williams, Lucy Britner and Ewan Murray.
Category manager for beers, wines and spirits at Waitrose, Anne has been singing semi-professionally since she was a teenager with a repertoire ranging “from Bach to hip-hop.”
Wine writer David Williams forms part of the Wine Gang and, according to his fellow band members, is currently “exiled in Spain” but will be “smuggling himself back to London inside a pallet of cava” for the gig.
The third guest performer is fellow wine writer Lucy Britner from Square Meal, who made national headlines last year when she broke off her singing performance at a church concert to thwart a collection plate robbery.
When not managing PR for the Wine Society, Ewan Murray is described as “a veteran of live music”, fronting many groups including “the ultimate party band” Chapter Eight.
Held in aid of Wine Relief and in partnership with Côtes du Rhône Wines, Skin Côntact LIVE takes place at Vinopolis on Monday 9 March. For more information and to buy tickets click here.
