Man wearing watermelon on head arrested

A man who has frequently appeared on the Beijing metro wearing a watermelon on his head and carrying bottles of beer has been apprehended by police.

Quickly nicknamed “watermelon guy” on social media, one woman said he seemed to be drunk. Following several appearances on the subway he was finally caught and taken away by police.

Whether or not he is a fan of the Canadian Football franchise the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who routinely wear watermelon helmets at games, is not known nor is very much else.
