AB InBev launches beer delivery app
AB InBev is introducing a new beer delivery app in the US, the Bud Light Button, that will allow consumers to have the beer delivered to their door.
The company partnered with digital innovation agency and “platform provider” Klink to create the service, which will begin with an initial launch in the Washington DC market.
Consumers can order between one and 100 cases of beer and have it delivered by Klink – via an independent retailer – within an hour, according to AB InBev.
Currently available for the Android platform, the Bud Light Button will follow with an iPhone version coming soon.
As reported by Shanken News Daily, the service will combine with Bud Light’s existing “Up For Whatever” campaign by offering additions like Bud Light branded items and “Up for whatever experiences” on selected deliveries.
“Once in a while, we’re going to deliver a really over-the-top experience,” said Lucas Herscovici, Anheuser-Busch vice president of consumer connections. “Maybe that means we show up with a DJ who turns your gathering of friends into an amazing event.”
