Winter wonderland in pictures
Pernod Ricard’s shiny new offices in Chiswick were turned into a winter wonderland for its Christmas party this week.
Stepping out of the lift, guests were taken through an enchanted forest dotted with deer
The winter wonderland theme stretched all the way up to the ceiling
On arrival, guests were offered an array of cocktails made with Pernod’s brands, from Chivas whisky to Plymouth gin
Canapés took inspiration from Fera at Claridge’s
One of the cocktails on pour was the Absolut Sherbet, made with Absolut Cherrys, sugar syrup and citric acid
A banquet fit for an ice queen
Adding to the festivities were Christmas crackers complete with obligatory terrible jokes
Among the dishes was a starter of sea bream tartare with yoghurt, pickled apple, rye and nasturtium flowers
We’re not sure what wine writer Robert Joseph is describing here, perhaps the size of a fish he recently caught?
The pretty as a picture desert was a bitter chocolate delice with white pear sorbet, honeycomb and edible flowers
To pair with the pud, we were treated to a glass of Martell Cognac…
… which db’s Lucy Shaw very much enjoyed
