Plonk app maps grapes by borough
Denizens of Westminster have a penchant for Nebbiolo, while residents of Wandsworth favour Petit Verdot according to a new wine app by Bibendum.
Devised by UK drinks supplier Bibendum, Plonk has tracked which grape varieties are most popular in the different London boroughs.
The app was designed to help consumers in their wine buying decisions, while the map was created from a survey of 50,000 users on their preferred grape variety.
The results found that dwellers in The City of London are fond of Chardonnay, while Malbec is a firm favourite in the boroughs of Hillingdon and Bromley
Meanwhile, the Proscecco will be popping in Newham this Christmas, and the Touriga Nacional is set to go down a treat in Kensington and Chelsea.
The free Plonk app can be downloaded via the AppStore.
