Chivas promotes with glass droplets
Chivas Regal has enlisted the talents of a glassmaker for its latest ad campaign, creating 85 glass drops containing the flavour notes of its 18-year-old pour.
The glassblown bulbs were created by artist Peter Layton, and are meant to signify the numerous flavours present in “a single drop” of the premium whisky.
The Pernod Ricard brand commissioned Layton and photographer Dan Tobin Smith to create and shoot the glass droplets, each of which was hung containing flavour elements including rosemary, lavender and honeycomb.
The campaign comprises outdoor, print and digital advertising featuring Smith’s photography.
Launching this week, the campaign is being pushed online and on social media, including Instagram, while Chivas has also created online films showing how the droplets were made.
