Ukip’s Nigel Farage to appear on Gogglebox
Ukip leader Nigel Farage is to appear in an “alcohol-fuelled” spin-off of Channel 4’s Gogglebox alongside the show’s resident cocktail-swilling duo Steph and Dom Parker.
Channel 4 has confirmed that the politician will “get pissed” with the pair in an upcoming special edition of the show set to air early next year, as reported by The Guardian.
Gogglebox shows a cross section of families reacting to the week’s television and news and has proven an instant success.
The pair, rarely seen on screen without a drink in hand, have proven so popular with viewers that producers have decided to give them their own show, provisionally called At Home with Steph and Dom.

Channel 4’s chief creative officer Jay Hunt has said the planned spin-off will be a “rip-roaring alcohol-fuelled watch”.
Farage’s episode, which will air before next May’s general election, will see the politician visit the couple at their home in Sandwich, Kent where he is expected to be “given a grilling”, while having a drink or two with the pair.
Farage is Ukip’s candidate for the couple’s constituency of South Thanet.
