Staff lock ‘vodka thief’ in freezer
Three supermarket workers who locked a women suspected of stealing vodka in a freezer could face criminal charges.
The woman was trapped in the freezer for up to an hour
The Russian employees apparently recognised the suspected thief on the St Petersburg supermarket’s CCTV and promptly detained her in a freezer at temperatures of minus 15 degrees Celsius, as reported by Big News Network.
The women was trapped for about an hour and eventually called the police.
However the woman, who was not badly injured, was never officially reported to the police for theft.
The employees now face the possibility of criminal charges.
