Meiburg’s wine trade guides launched
The newest additions to Debra Meiburg MW’s wine trade guides, covering Singapore and Beijing, have been launched.
Following the same format as the original Hong Kong and Shanghai guides, the new books combine market research, insights from market veterans and a breakdown of importers and distributors in the cities.
Meiburg said: “We are excited and proud to add Singapore and Beijing to the ‘Guide to the Wine Trade’ series. Both cities have dynamic markets which are bursting with potential, but the retail and trade environments are confusing for many people, from wine lovers to industry professionals.
“The series launched in 2012 with the inaugural Hong Kong guide, as we sensed there was a real hole in the market for solid information regarding the city’s wine industry. We had 40 winemakers a day sending requests for advice, F&B professionals bemoaning the glut of importers and wine lovers still unsure where to find a great Grüner Veltliner.
“Along with the terrific feedback for the Hong Kong guide came demand from further afield for similar guides to demystify other key Asian cities. Hence our mission to increase transparency and efficiency in the Asian wine marketplace was born.”
