‘Drinking Jacket’ hits Kickstarter target

A jacket dubbed the “ultimate drinking accessory”, with its bottle opener zipper and dedicated hip flask pocket, could soon go into production after attracting $50,000 worth of investment from online backers.

The Drinking Jacket, specially designed to include a bottle opener for a zipper and neoprene slip-resistant drinking mitts, has already reached its Kickstarter target.

The hoody also boasts a neoprene koozie pocket for stashing a can, hidden flask pocket, ID pocket and sunglass holder. So far 944 people have backed the project raising $94,000, surpassing its $50,000 target.

Pitching his project to the Kickstarter community, Zane Lamprey described it as the “Swiss Army knife” of drinking.

Lamprey is no stranger to the Kickstarter community. In June 2013 he successfully launched CHUG, the first Kickstarter fan-funded television series, which is currently airing on the National Geographic Channel.

The Drinking Jacket is expected to go into production after Christmas with the first deliveries expected in late March.

Interesting… I purchased this jacket on Zanes website 3 years ago. I can vouch, it’s a pretty good product.
