Amathus launches Shoreditch site
Drinks distributor and retailer Amathus has opened a fourth shop in Shoreditch, adding to its sites in Soho, Knightsbridge and the City of London.
Tom Davidson of the Soho branch strips for 31 Days of Riesling. We’ve been informed that staff at the new Shoreditch store will be fully clothed.
Located at 303 Old Street in Hoxton, the store will boast a range of “competitively priced” wines, Champagnes, spirits and craft beers.
Among the wine producers to be lining the shelves will be Idiom Collection from Stellenbosch, Elk Cove Vineyards from Oregon, Woodstock from McLaren Vale and Maverick from the Barossa Valley.
In addition to wine, the store will have a strong spirits focus, with Amathus the exclusive UK importer of over 400 spirits lines including Old Rip Van Winkle Bourbon, Casa Centinela Tequila and Del Maguey Mezcal.
One of more adventurous spirits to be sold will be Del Maguey Ibérico, a Mezcal infused with Bellota ham named 2014’s Best Product at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
Wine and spirit tasting sessions will also be held at the store, with a host of experts on hand to talk guests through a regular series of masterclasses.
Amathus Shoreditch will be open seven days a week with a click and collect service and free local delivery available.
The company hit the headlines this summer when staff stripped in honour of Wines of Germany’s 31 Days of Riesling campaign.
That chap in the photo is terribly dashing!
We’ll pass on the message Karluccio!
