Auction house Zachys has announced it is to hold its first whisky sale in Hong Kong this September.
Taking place this weekend, Zachys will offer up to 70 lots of rare and collectable whiskies at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong.
Top lots will include Macallan dating back to the 1950s, Balvenie (1973 single cask pictured; HK$18,000 – HK$28,000), Glengrant-Glenlivet, Ardbeg, Glenmorangie and Japanese whiskies such as Yamazaki, Nikka and Karuizawa.
The full list can be seen here.
Zachys Asia’s senior managing director, David Wainwright, said: “Whisky has come of age and Zachys Asia will become a major player in this field. I have followed and been involved with Whisky for over 15 years, and it’s great to see clients in Asia taking a keen interest. In this our first outing we have some incredibly rare bottles. Very exciting.”
The auction is being held this Saturday, 6 September, and is part of a wider sale of fine wines.
