Wine Experience heads to London

Bettane and Desseauve’s London Wine Experience is to return to London’s Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea for the third year running next month.

Organised by two of France’s most respected critics, the event will take place on 24 and 25 October and is a chance to meet producers and taste wines from countries including France, Greece, Italy, Argentina, Lebanon and Spain.

This year the event will host a second tier of “prestige” masterclasses, hosted by winemakers and trade experts, which will be held on subjects including Château Latour with participants able to sample a number of the famous Château’s wines.

The second edition of the Wine Premiere Awards will also take place at the event resulting in an exclusive tasting of wines carefully selected by Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve and judged by an international jury of wine experts.

During the event both professionals and amateurs will be able to discover the winners of this wine challenge and in turn grade each one, presented in a dedicated room at the Saatchi Gallery.

A selection of award-wining wines as judged by the drinks business Global Masters Awards will also be available to sample.

The Global Masters is a competition in which wines are blind judged by style and price exclusively, eliminating any prejudice over different wine producing regions, by a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers only.
