Taking up the position of Vinexpo sales director is 33 year-old Mathieu Vanhalst, who previously worked at the TFWA, where he spent seven years assisting with the organisation’s events in France and the Far East.
Meanwhile, Richard Guyon has joined Vinexpo as marketing director. Aged 35, he comes with experience of the hospitality and tourism sector from his former role at the Relais & Châteaux network.
The appointments mark “a development phase” for Vinexpo, which holds wine and spirits exhibitions in France and worldwide.
This year will see the Bordeaux-based business return to Japan for Vinexpo Nippon, which will be held in Tokyo on 1-2 November, and France next year, for the biennial Vinexpo Bordeaux, which will take place from 14-18 June.
As previously reported by the drinks business, the Bordeaux fair will feature significant changes.
