Police officers save skunk from beer can
Police were called in to deal with someone who was “drunk as a skunk” near a US frat house this week. However it wasn’t a student who had had one too many, but a hapless skunk.

Police in Oxford City were called to the former Beta Theta Pi near Miami University campus, which closed earlier this year following allegations of alcohol abuse and hazing, on Sunday to find the unfortunate skunk stumbling around with a Miller Lite can stuck on its head.
Animal control officers were called in to carefully pry the can from its head with the skunk, who refrained from spraying its saviours, no doubt grateful for their help.
Posting this picture on its Facebook page, Ohio’s Oxford City Police said: “First call of the day on 9/14/2014 involved this little fella staggering all over the area near the Beta House.
“He was “drunk as a skunk”
“One of our public safety assistants (animal control officer) was able to remove the can without being “skunked”.
The skunk isn’t the first four-legged friend to find themselves in a spot of bother and in need of rescue.
Last year firefighters in the UK freed a puppy who had become entangled in a wine rack.
