Beer labels show colour of brew inside
A Spanish designer has come up with an innovative way to package beer, with its label simply depicting the colour of the brew inside.
Txaber posted his designs on his website showcasing a range of beers with their labels matched to their corresponding “Pantone” colour – a standardised colour re-production system used by manufacturers to ensure colour matching.
The creative packaging documents a rainbow of beer hues from a bright yellow pale ale to a deeply-dark imperial stout.
However it’s not the first time that colour has been used alongside beer packaging.
Last year designers Alexander Michelbach and Daniel Eugster launched “Beertone” – colour card swatches that gave the exact colour value of a beer in RGB, CMYK and HTML code.
