The inner workings of UK brewer Marston’s are set to be revealed in an upcoming reality TV show narrated by comedian and “pub landlord” Al Murray.

One Ale of a Job will follow the daily lives of staff working at one of Britain’s oldest and biggest breweries as it battles to keep ahead in an increasingly competitive industry.
Greg Barnett, who commissioned the show, said: “The men and women we follow in this new series do everything they do out of passion for the perfect pint.
“There’s a terrific mix of characters, stories, facts and fun and I very much hope viewers develop a taste for it.”
Marston’s, the world’s largest brewer of cask ale, was founded in 1834 and today employees 14,000 staff, operates five breweries, 13 distribution centres and 2,000 pubs across the UK, with its headquarters based in Wolverhampton.
Its breweries include Brakspear, The Ringwood Brewery, Marstons and Wychwood which produce beers including Pedigree, Wychwood Hobgoblin, Jennings Cumberland Ale and Banks’s Bitter and Mild among others.
Marston’s series follows in the footsteps of other brewery-based reality TV shows such as BrewDogs, which is aired in the US and features Scottish craft beer brewers Brew Dog.
The three-part series is set to air on Channel 5 in September.
