Trade invited to social media brand seminar
A seminar exploring the role of social media within the food and drink industry and how it can benefit international brand development is set to take place in Paris.
Foodies 2.0, organised by the Sopexa Group’s Digital Factory, will be held on 20 October at SIAL in Paris with a focus on both the food and drink sector.
Made up of an international network of digital experts, The Sopexa Digital Factory panel will be on hand to illuminate visitors on different social media platforms used in each country, such as Sina Weibo, WeChat, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, with the aim of helping brand managers to better promote their products on the international market.
According to the conference’s organisers, 71% of consumers in the USA are more inclined to make a purchase if the item has been recommended on social networks, while 29.5% of the most popular pins on Pinterest come from the food and drink category, according to data directory Repinly.
Discussion topics lined up for the event include Know your target market: the promise of social media; Social media and export: choosing the right platform for the best results; Brand content and the blogosphere: an insider’s guide to the world of foodies 2.0 and Building a social media strategy in overseas market with a focus on China: is ROI on the menu?
The event will take place at the SIAL exhibition in hall 5A between 10 to 12.30pm.
