Taste the Global Masters winners at LWF
Next week’s London Wine Fair will feature a dedicated stand showcasing medal winners from the drinks business Global Masters series.
Setting itself apart from other major international wine competitions, the Global Masters series sees wines judged by grape variety rather than country. This format allows judges to assess all wines on a level playing field, categorised only by price bracket.
The results reflect this formula, with star names from high profile regions ranked side by side with hidden gems, or shining examples of a variety that is not commonly associated with a certain region.
Located on Stand Q82, the showcase will feature medal winners from the three most recent tastings in the Global Masters series: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Visitors to the stand will be able to taste medallists ranging from Bronze up to the competition’s highest accolade of Master, as judged by a panel made up exclusively of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers.
the drinks business will also use London Wine Fair to launch a new addition: The Global Rosé Masters, which taps into an increasingly important commercial category that until now has received very little attention on the competition circuit.
