Future MWs invited to IMW masterclass
Wine trade professionals will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the industry’s most respected qualification during an MW masterclass at the London Wine Fair next week.
The Institute’s master classes, also known as open days, are aimed at wine trade professionals with an interest in taking up study for the MW qualification.
The masterclass will include an introduction to the Institute, a tasting with Masters of Wine, and the opportunity to discuss professional development through the education programme.
The Institute, a not-for-profit organisation, was founded in 1955 and today has a membership of 313 Masters of Wine (MWs) based in 24 different countries.
More than 290 students from 36 countries are currently studying in the programme which leads to the Master of Wine Examination.
The masterclass is open to wine buyers in the retail and restaurant trade, sommeliers, winemakers, journalists, students of gastronomy and wine and anybody interested in wine education.
The event will be held on 3 June at the London Wine Fair in The Club Room from 3.30 to 4pm.
