Bonhams lines up European cellars for London sale
Bonhams’ next London fine wine sale will feature collections from a selection of European cellars spanning top flight Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italian and mature Rioja.
Taking place on Thursday 22 May, Bordeaux dominates the line-up with a case of Le Pin 1999 from a Parisian collector one of the leading lots at £5,500-£6,000.
Other highlights from the Paris cellar include Latour 2003 (£4,700-£5,200 a case) and Yquem 1983 (£2,400-£3,600 a case).
Other highlights from other cellars ranging from Belgium to Austria are 2000 Mouton Rothschild, 2005 Lafite, Gaja, Flacianello and Il Carnasciale.
There are also some very rare mature vintages such as a single bottles of 1889 Margaux for £500-£600 a bottle, 1959 Mouton and 1961 La Mission Haut-Brion, as well as cases of 1975 La Mission (£4,500-£5,500) and 1996 Krug.
Burgundies are well represented with Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Ponsot, Armand Rousseau, Comtes Lafon and Leflaive.
