Around the Grounds in 14 days: Day 9
An impressive £11, 000 has already been raised by The Benevolent chairman Chris Porter, who is making his way by train and pedal bike to all 91 UK league football grounds in support of the drinks trade charity.
Having wound his way up the UK, today saw Chris Porter begin his “zig-zag” journey back south, first visiting York City football club.
From there the ever-energetic chairman headed to Hull City FC…
…before hopping on another train and pedalling his way to Leeds United football club….
….and then squeezing in visits to Bradford City FC and Huddersfield where staff were kind enough to allow this triumphant picture pitch side. Chris will this afternoon visit both Sheffield grounds (United and Wednesday), before finishing the day in Rotherham.
So far the challenge has raised an impressive £11,000 for The Benevolent, the drinks industry charity set up to support members of the drinks industry in need.
