Around the Grounds in 14 days: Day 10
Day 11 and The Benevolent’s Chris Porter is still going strong, nearing his target of visiting all 91 UK league football grounds in just 14 days without a car.
Setting off from the home of the Doncaster Rovers, Chris endured a number of train delays yesterday, but managed to remain on track as he made his way to Glanford Park, the home of Scunthorpe football club…
…..where he was able to snap this quick “selfie” before continuing his journey.
Arriving at Derby FC, Chris took inspiration from the club’s logo creating this sign to thank everyone that had supported him over the past 10 days.
The “indefatigable” chairman then made his way to Nottingham visiting the grounds of both Forest and Notts County, where he was given able to take these pictures pitch side.
Chris Porter, chairman of the drinks industry charity The Benevolent, has just four days remaining of his Around the Grounds in 14 Days challenge having embarked on a journey to visit all of the UK’s 91 league football grounds to raise money for the charity.
A fantastic £11,100 has already been raised with the money raised going directly to helping vulnerable members of the UK drinks industry facing medical or financial hardship.
