Pays d’Oc calls for new UK Ambassador
Inter Oc, the wine trade association for the Pays d’Oc IGP, is searching for a member of the UK drinks trade to take on the mantle of Pays d’Oc IGP Ambassador and promote the region’s wines within the UK market.
Building on last year’s Pays d’Oc IGP Communicator of the Year competition, this year the competition has expanded to become the Pays d’Oc IGP Ambassador of the Year.
The winner will be offered the opportunity to represent the UK as a member of the Grand Jury of the Pays d’Oc IGP Collection 2015 with further responsibilities to interact as the spokesperson of Pays d’Oc IGP on social networks and to promote the region within the UK wine industry.
Judges will be looking for an individual who “embodies the diversity and originality of Pays d’Oc IGP” and can convey the spirit and key messages of Pays d’Oc IGP to the UK market including consumer, press and trade.
The competition is open to anyone working within the UK wine trade, from on- and off-trade to distributors and suppliers.
To be considered, entrants must submit a paragraph explaining why they are eligible of no more than 500 words, 100 words about the Pays d’Oc IGP denomination and a testimony from a colleague supporting your application.
Entries will open on 15 April and close on 18 June 2014, with the winner set to be announced in September 2014.
