During the last 12 months, Westons Cider has continued to develop and build partnerships with business such as Radeberger Gruppe UK, Germany’s largest domestic brewer, and the Charles Wells Pub Company in France.

As a result of increased international demand, Westons is now looking to increase its sales in emerging markets such as Asia, South America, Africa and the Caribbean.

Roger Jackson, commercial director of Westons said: “Westons Cider’s export business has become an increasingly important element of our business strategy and growth achievements. Since we began trading in Australia as Westons World Brands, sales volumes have increased by 39.7% (year to end January 2014) making it our largest branded international market.

“We have also seen a growing demand for premium British ciders across the globe. It’s important for us as a company to meet this demand and invest in the right channels to continue this growth. This investment into our export division will ensure that we have a strong and sustainable platform to meet the increasing demand for Westons ciders in international markets.”

He added: “Worldwide premium cider sales are growing rapidly and premium quality British ciders are an integral part of the government’s plan for economic growth. Westons is perfectly positioned to help leverage this internationally.”
