Parker to launch luxury lifestyle magazine

US wine critic Robert Parker is to release a quarterly luxury lifestyle magazine aimed at the jet-set.

According to Wine-Searcher.com, Parker’s bi-monthly publication, The Wine Advocate, has signed a deal with publishers Hubert Burda Media to launch 100 Points by Robert Parker, aimed at high net-worth individuals.

While the international lifestyle magazine will feature wine, Wine-Searcher reports that it won’t feature wine reviews or critiques and will advertise non-wine related brands.

The first edition of 100 Points by Robert Parker is due to be unveiled in London on 5 June when Parker will host a consumer tasting at Mayfair fine wine shop, Hedonism Wines,

An editor for the magazine has yet to be appointed, though The Wine Advocate’s team of writers, including Parker, will contribute to the magazine “on an ad hoc basis”.

Singaporean investors took a majority stake in The Wine Advocate in December 2012. At the same time, Parker stepped down as editor-in-chief, appointing Singapore-based Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW as his successor.
