1990 Louis Jadot – Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Estournelles Saint Jacques

This wine is another recommendation from Cho Lee, who wrote: “A beautiful Estournelles that is at its peak – elegant, balanced with lovely sous bois, earth and sweet spice notes. Drinking beautifully, with layers of spicy flavours and a texture that is very fine after shedding its young tannins. Perfect at 23 years of age.”

2011 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis

This wine was recommended by the team at Thelocalnose.com, with Timothy Goh writing: “Nice and fresh nose with hints of flowers like lilies and orange blossoms. Zesty, clean and harmonious on the palate and finishing with a good length. Nice Arneis.”

Suzanne Brocklehurst added: “Gentle mineral notes with hints of spice. Medium-bodied with lovely oily texture balanced by citrus concentration. This is a fabulous food wine with heaps of flavour and complexity.”

2009 August Ziegler Riesling Kabinett

The Local Nose also picked out this wine and Chee Wee Lee wrote: “Nice white flower, hint of zest such as panda leaves. High in residual sugar, sweet entry, tame acidity, well coated and nice length. Good wine for a range of foods.”

Suzanne Brocklehurst added: “Lifted dill and herbal notes with some ginger root presence; sweet and unctuous palate but sufficient acidity present to give reasonable balance. Pretty wine.”

Rarity 2000 Chardonnay

The Bangkok Post‘s Pamela Tan wrote of this wine: “Cantina Terlano has an unusual offering in the form of its Rarities, special editions of mature white wines that have been left to age on the lees in steel pressure tanks for at least 10 years.”

She added: “Terlano’s Rarity 2000 has an impressive freshness and a wealth of aromas, including herbal notes. The wine is smooth and creamy on the palate, and strikes a fine balance with the mineral components. The finish is elegant and silky, but also enormously deep and firm.”

Château Mas Neuf, Compostelle Blanc 2011

Singaporean wine blogger Wai Xin, picked out this wine for his website, Winexin.sg. He wrote: “A blend of Roussanne (90%), Viognier (10%) translated into a wine showing fresh melon with honey underlined by a distinctively floral aromas. A white wine of southern Rhone, the densely packed richness showed on the palate and ended only after a soft long weighty finish.”
