Redmayne (pictured), who earned plaudits for roles in the BBC’s “Birdsong” and Hollywood smash “Les Misérables”, was among a host of famous faces at the event at London’s Royal Opera House on Tuesday night (3 September).
Rémy Martin, which announced its sponsorship of the award last month, was also the drinks sponsor of the evening.
The likes of London mayor Boris Johnson, foreign secretary William Hague and entertainers from the acting, music, fashion and art industries such as Pharrell Williams, Nick Grimshaw, Arctic Monkeys, Ronnie Wood and Samuel L Jackson enjoyed specially designed Rémy Martin cocktails that were created for the event.
The actor Michael Douglas was awarded the top prize with the “Legend” award.
