BrewDog co-founders to appear on new US TV show
James Watt and Martin Dickie, co-founders of BrewDog brewery in Scotland, are fronting BrewDogs, a new six-part craft beer TV show premiering on NBC’s Esquire Network.
The hour-long episodes, which start on 24 September in the US, will focus on “a quest for nationwide craft beer enlightenment” as Watt and Dickie aim to “convert one million craft beer virgins”.
They aim to achieve this through visits to notable American breweries, including Stone, Anchor, Elysian, Victory and Oskar Blues. The duo will also spend time concocting beer on a moving train, brewing the first real steam beer and producing the most caffeinated beer in the world.
The Sunday Times named BrewDog as the fastest growing food and drinks company in the UK over the last three years. The brewery owns 12 pubs (11 in the UK plus one in Stockholm) in addition to selling BrewDog products in 38 different countries.
The company moved its premises in 2012 to Ellon in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, creating the world’s first crowd-funded brewery.
Watt was previously on the BBC Three reality TV show, “The Last Millionaire” in November 2008.
