£300k of wine driven away in heist
A trailer filled with wine has been stolen from a haulier’s yard in Scotland over the weekend.
Taking place some time between midnight last Saturday and 8am on Sunday morning, the thieves made off with £300,000 worth of wine from RT Keedwell Haulage Yard in South Lanarkshire.
Scottish police said that once the robbers entered the yard in Uddingston they hooked the trailer up to their own cab and simply drove off with it.
Detective sergeant John Cameron said: “I would urge anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious on Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning, either at or near the haulage yard, to come forward as they may have information that is vital to this enquiry.”
The police have not disclosed who the wine belonged to.
