Greenall’s Gin hoping for Ashes glory
Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin is hoping to cash in on a wave of Ashes glory this week after announcing that it has become the official gin sponsor of Lancashire County Cricket Club and Emirates Old Trafford.
This week sees the England and Australian cricket teams head to Old Trafford for the third Test of this summer’s Ashes series and England can clinch the series by avoiding defeat in Manchester.
The Greenall’s Gin partnership with Lancashire means its will have the exclusive pouring rights throughout the venue, for both sporting and corporate events, until July 2014.
Sinead O’Frighil, global brands development manager at Greenall’s Gin said: “Greenall’s Gin is proud to be the only supplier of gin at such a prestigious and highly coveted sporting event that combines two of the Great British traditions, the G&T and cricket.
“We’re especially delighted to be working with another great brand from North West England.”
Cricket fans visiting Old Trafford this weekend will be able to enjoy a Greenall’s Gin in the “Ashes Village”, the designated food and drink area with the stadium grounds. The Ashes Village is expected to attract over 10,000 people a day, during the five-day match.
