Crown Cellars announces the O&E wine range

Crown Cellars, the specialist wine and spirits division of Carlsberg UK, has announced an exclusive range of five contemporary wines from around the world, known as the O&E or the ‘Open and Enjoy’ range.

Available only on-trade, the wines have been chosen to appeal to “customers looking for an easy choice in pubs and restaurants” according to Crown Cellars buyer Louise Boddington, who selected the wines along with Jonathan Pedley, Crown Cellars’ wine consultant.

In order to allow customers greater accessibility in selecting these wines, the “O&E branding and descriptions are very straightforward”, whilst the wines themselves are “cracking examples of their varietal and region”, Boddington added.

The wines are priced to the trade at an introductory price of £24.48 for a case of six 75cl bottles.

The range includes a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon described as a “gutsy red”, a “fresh and zingy” French Sauvignon Blanc, a “light-bodied and sweet” Californian Zinfandel rosé, a French Merlot merited as being “soft and juicy” and a “crisp, fresh white” Italian Pino Grigio.

I am interested in buying the O&E Zinfandel Rose wine. Whilst on an evening our lately I was served this wine and thought it was amazing. As I struggle to digest wine, this has been the only product that did not upset my digestive tract.
