Burridges of Arlington St moves to LCB
Sussex based wine shipper Burridges of Arlington, which specialises in Spanish wines, has awarded London City Bond (LCB) a three-year contract to distribute its wines nationally from LCB’s most recent state of the art 270,000 square foot warehouse in Barking.

Alf Allington, LCB’s managing director said: “We are truly delighted that Burridges of Arlington Street has joined us.
“I always consider that one of our strengths is that we are in tune with the independent wine merchant and listen to, and understand, their business.
“The warehouse at Barking, being only a few miles from the City and West End enables us to provide a delivery service second to none as well as giving easy access to the motorway network and our regional distribution hubs.”
Commenting on the move, second generation Edward Burridge said: “It is always a difficult decision to change logistics supplier but we are truly delighted with the service LCB is giving us.
“My father, who recently won a Lifetime in Wine award, built this business on quality and service and in order to continue to grow the business we must give our customers including our regional wholesalers the best possible service available”.
“Not only is LCB getting it right, but the quality of their management information and feed back is such that it allows us to focus on our specialist areas of expertise. They are also nice to deal with.”
