Former rugby player Olivier Dauga is a Bordeaux-based consultant passionate about promoting affordable Bordeaux wines. Known as Le Faiseur de Vin, Dauga has a penchant for loud shirts and arresting eyewear. Outside France, Dauga consults in Spain, Morocco, Australia and the Ukraine.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being close to my children, my family and my dog.

To leave for the other world without saying goodbye to my close friends and family.

I respect many people but I do not admire one person in particular.

My loud shirts and shoes.

Optimistic, communicative and enjoying life.

It would be an all-French line-up: general Charles De Gaulle, singer Edith Piaf and chef Auguste Escoffier – I’d serve them Château Palmer 1982 and Château Gilette Sauternes 1937.
