Do South West France wines really have it all?
An expert panel is gathering next month to debate whether South West France wines really do have it all.
The panel discussion, will look at the region’s indigenous grape varieties, the wines with strong personalities and the value for money offered by the wines, when answering this and other questions.
As well as the discussion a trade tasting will also take place at the event, on Monday 3 June from 10.30pm to 5pm at Maison des Vins du Sud-Ouest in central London.
The expert panel, which has representatives from across the UK trade, will focus on the South West of France’s top wine denominations including Côtes de Gascogne, Côtes du Tarn, Gaillac, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic Bilh and Saint Mont.
As well as discussing some of the key strengths and opportunities for the region, the panel will also aim to discover what makes these wines so exciting for independent retailers, sommeliers and importers alike.
The expert panel includes representatives from across the UK trade:
Antoine Dugand, Pont de la Tour
Joe Fattorini, Bibendum Wine
Rebecca Palmer, Corney & Barrow
David Williams, The Wine Gang
Gabriel Savage, the drinks business.
